Are you aware that the reasoning behind the designs of ancient architect’s contrasts with compositional logic and design principles of modern architects? The concept of 'composition' gained popularity during the Renaissance era and primarily referred to the formal arrangement of architectural elements of volume and detail. Ancient architects focused on mimicking our natural world when creating homes, making each dwelling rich in symbolism. Thus, this logic of the ancient architect becomes a complete art as it fills the house with meaning, which in turn enriches our lives. ESSENCE METHOD

1 / Project, & problem focus :
An impressive Georgian gentleman and a charming Ukrainian lady comprise this couple. Seeking to rekindle their passion, they delight in hosting guests, preparing delectable meals, and indulging in celebratory wine. However, they are averse to the clutter and disorder often associated with cooking.
Solution A:
Should you find yourself invited to the home of the Georgian, and witness the excavation of a cultural artefact from the garden, consider yourself a distinguished guest. This act signifies the retrieval of the Qvevri jug, traditionally used for storing wine. Historically, such jugs were notably tall, with individuals easily able to climb inside for cleaning purposes. Inspired by this tradition, a wine cellar was fashioned within the house, mirroring the design principles of the Qvevri jug. Additionally, symbolic phallic motifs, embodied in the form of chandeliers, adorn the space, while the walls are adorned with depictions of Roman beauties, further enhancing the ambiance with classical allure.
Solution B:
Drawing from the enduring Ukrainian tradition, wherein two kitchens were customarily constructed—one for culinary demonstrations and the other for practical use—the concept of maintaining a clean and orderly household is paramount. To align with this tradition, we proposed the creation of a secondary kitchen concealed behind the right door of the primary kitchen cabinet.
Solutions:
A cabinet design was devised employing sleek lines and a light colour palette. Given the nuanced dynamics within the family, this approach is apt. White, chosen for its connotations of purity, simplicity, and openness, carries a dual significance. While it imparts an 'airy' ambiance, an excess may induce fatigue and evoke feelings of coldness and emptiness. To counterbalance, gold accents were introduced for warmth and visual interest. On an emotional level, gold serves to alleviate stress and tension, fostering a sense of relaxation and momentum.
2 / Objective:
Develop a unique entrance design for a rented apartment, tailored to accommodate the needs of the family.
3 / Situation:
She harbours a profound passion for runes, having dedicated years to their study and application with clientele. Establishing a dedicated workspace conducive to her practice and engagement with runic arts is paramount.
Solution:
Following an in-depth examination of runic symbols, a distinctive interior was crafted, featuring wood accents and nine shelves symbolizing the nine worlds of Scandinavian mythology. The decor was thoughtfully curated to complement this theme. Additionally, a bespoke table adorned with runes was incorporated, designed to facilitate fortune-telling. Envision the experience of sitting at the table, activating the central circle, and receiving personalized divinations for today or one's entire life.
4 / Situation:
As a professional coach operating in both Kazakh and Albanian spheres, she aspires to establish an exclusive retreat centre aimed at revitalizing both mind and body. The objective is to cultivate a sanctuary where individuals can pause and rejuvenate amidst the tumult of daily life, drawing inspiration from the nomadic lifestyle.Solution:
Through an exhaustive exploration of nomadic life, encompassing architectural principles, interior design, folklore, and symbolism, a one-of-a-kind retreat centre was meticulously crafted, drawing direct inspiration from the traditional yurt dwelling. Each room within the centre is imbued with distinct themes and narratives, offering sanctuary for various needs; whether seeking inner love, respite from familial obligations, or simply a moment of tranquillity. Glass floors reveal curated artefacts beneath, while a soaring domed roof and expansive skylight evoke the vastness of the sky. The exterior, adorned in hues of mint and turquoise reminiscent of mountain vistas against the sun, envelops visitors in a sense of serene rejuvenation. Every element of the retreat is meticulously designed to evoke the essence of nomadic life, inviting guests to pause, recharge, and chart their own path forward.
